The Open Innovation score is intended to help our users discover all the facets of Open Innovation as developed on our platform. The score is measured on a scale of 0 to 100 and currently consists of 14 competencies and will continue to evolve as Open Innovation and the platform develop.
The competency areas, which contribute equally to the score, are :

- Science - Search for publications in scientific libraries to keep up to date with the latest developments on a given issue or to find out about prior knowledge
- Patent - researching patent databases to understand the protected areas, exploring ideas for solutions to a problem using methods such as TRIZ, or gaining knowledge of the players in a field who have filed patents
- Companies - Finding relevant companies when you wish to identify mature solutions (with a high "TRL")
- Monitor - Implement monitoring mechanisms to keep abreast of developments in a field / on specific queries
- Biblio - Structure knowledge accumulated in the research / exploration phases into a tree-like, enriched representation of complex knowledge domains for saving, analysis and sharing
- Expert - Identify experts (individuals or companies) who can be contacted for a given innovation project

- Report - Generate interim or summary reports of collaborative innovation projects
- Protect - Protect the data produced or exchanged on the platform through the blockchain, in order to keep the DNA of an innovation when necessary and in a secure, distributed, confidential, auditable and transparent way
- Collaborate - Share data with other users or work collaboratively on a project. Where available, this indicator also includes uploading reports to a knowledge management system in the user's organisation.
- Contribute - Enriching the data on the platform through contributions such as improving the contact details of experts, their affiliation, etc
Finally, and to complete this definition, we measure these different elements over the last 12 months in order to favour the score of regular users of the platform and to draw the attention of a user who has not returned to the platform for some time to the probable evolution of the functionalities proposed. A user who does not return regularly to the platform will see his or her Open Innovation ScoreTM gradually erode.
This list of competency areas and the definition of each element will evolve periodically to take into account feedback from our users and the needs expressed to continue to promote collaborative and open innovation.
