Yes, it is possible that experts may not be identifiable on the platform. In order to identify experts, the ideXlab platform scans the web for relevant documents (scientific articles and patents), then identifies the authors of these documents. It can happen, and this is rather true in the industrial environment, that experts (or their employers) do not wish to share their knowledge through publications. Therefore, it is not possible for the ideXlab platform to identify these experts directly. It is sometimes possible to identify them indirectly, for example by interviewing their colleagues!
